Sleet Days

Nora's bday weekend ended up with sick days...

But weather had different plans - even though she was going to miss school Monday anyway - turns out we were iced in Monday morning -the rest of the day Monday and through today, we've had freezing rain, sleet and thundersnow... we have been doing virtual school since Monday through tomorrow - supposedly another round is coming through tomorrow into Thursday so who knows when we'll get back to school.

So we did lots of baking today - what else do you do when you're stuck inside all day...

 

Celebrating Nora

The snow ended up being a very wet, heavy snow.... so we had an at home school day (AMI) on Wednesday then an actual snow day on Thursday because so many people were out of power.  

So Nora got to be home on her actual birthday... 

We celebrated at home with her choice of dinner (artichokes), presents and cake.  

We had birthday cake over at Mom's... 

Thursday Rose was feeling better enough to head out and play in the snow a little bit... 

And Nora went and got her official license... 

Friday was National Chocolate Cake Day.. 

so Nora baked us cake.. yum!  

And yesterday was Nora's birthday party... 

But first, these two helped handle the registration at a girl scout event.. then we moved onto party time...
