Birthday #2 Celebration

This morning - up and out early - Rose was up at 6 - at least they slept all night and got to bed early... three of us headed out for church early as Nora was singing with the choir and ringing bells during Mass today -
but by the time Mass was over, she wasn't feeling that great - I think being up til 3am Friday night and up and out early this morning didn't agree with her.  I think she had a migraine of sorts - she's complained of headaches before that remind me of my headaches- ugh, the things we pass on!  I told her to try and go to class, grab a donut on the way after dropping her bells off in the choir room, thinking that some food might help - well, guess it didn't ... by the time Morgan got her from class, she said she didn't feel good and went into the bathroom and threw up.  Once home, I gave her some Advil and some Coke to drink and then she fell asleep - for almost 2 hours!  She said she felt better when she got up but I made her take it easy the rest of the afternoon.
While hanging out, we spotted these two checking out the bluebird house...

and Lizzie was just being Lizzie. :o)
Then we headed out for dinner - it was time to celebrate another birthday.  Nora had written Rose a message on the driveway yesterday when they were outside playing - so sweet!
Rose chose Red Robin for her birthday dinner...

and couldn't wait for them to come and sing her Happy Birthday!

And she shared with her sisters...

What a beautiful sunset on the way home!
Birthday present fun...
Emily made her a home made wand... it turned out so good!  Rose loved it...

Nora gave Rose a favorite stuffy that she wanted...

 Then more gifts...

I could not wait for her to open these... she has loved She-Ra and He-Man forever it seems...
So I did some digging on Ebay and found some old toys...

 She was so excited!!!

I think she was pretty pleased!

 Happy (early) birthday celebration Rose!!!

Darth Vader Birthday Fun

The past few days have been a whirlwind - finalizing party prepping for Nora's birthday party!

Rose was excited that I picked up some things for her party as well... and she was happy to model one of the crafts for Nora's party.
 Time to get the cake...
 and balloons...
Then time for the guests to arrive... a quick picture of the sisters...
and another with their masks on... Emily has her "jedi" mask on.

Nora picked out all her food from her Star Wars cookbook...
as the girls got here, they made Star Wars origami...

and Nora had her Darth Vader Theme song playing...
Then it was time for dinner...
 One happy birthday girl!

After dinner, time for craft #1 - the girls made Jedi outfits for their dolls.

 A little picture fun...

 Then cake time...

 Happy Birthday Nora:

 After cake, came presents...

and more crafts... we made headbands from Star Wars material...

and then Shrinky Dink bracelets.  We found printable Shrinky Dink paper and made up some Star Wars pictures.

 Here's Nora's bracelet she made.

Then as we settled in for a movie..
 a little R2D2 nail polish...

While we were crafting away - Morgan and Emily got away to PetSmart - Emily has missed her kitty time with being away.

Then before you knew it - the girls settled in for bed or went home.  (only 2 of the girls spent the night, the others left after the movie)
This little one wasn't very happy that she couldn't take part in the sleepover part...

So as the girls got settled in for bed (well, that's what we thought)...
We turned off the lights - but they ended up being up until about 2:30am.
I was up at 6am starting to gather things for breakfast - not sure what time they would be up...

and this one comes strolling around the corner at 7:15!
Sleepy girls who swear they aren't tired...
Nora picked out "Twin Sun Toast" for breakfast with Luke Skywalker Smoothies and C3P0 Pancakes...

 Yummy breakfast...
and then they got dressed and packed up... Rose couldn't wait to play with them...
and she was sporting her "Darth Vader bow" that all the girls got...
and then a little playtime outside...

Nora was so excited to check out her presents...

While she did that - we started taking down the Lego table...
the girls met today to recap the season, help take down the lego table and enjoy an ice cream snack...

It was a beautiful day - we even had the windows open all day.
We headed to the library for a little bit ...

and then an early bedtime for the younger two, babysitting for Emily and Morgan and I finished up sorting legos...
The table should come down tomorrow - we have 6 days to get ready for party #2!

Across the Pond

Nora spent 3 weeks in England on a study abroad program - Medieval England... she had the best time.  I'll gather up more of her pictur...
