Beginnings and Endings

 Today was a day of beginnings.. the beginning of our visitor month...

 the beginning of life.. our baby mockingbirds hatched...

 

as well as endings... 

 

Our last girl scout meeting of the school year was today..only 3 and a half weeks of school!

 

Revolving Door

 Our house today was a revolving door - fun, but it's nice to be sitting right now.  We started bright and early with Tae Kwon Do buddy day - Nora's buddy Sophia came with her.. they had a lot of fun and did a great job!

They even took turns breaking the boards - here's a quick video..

 Back home for another friend to come play - then after lunch I had some helpers come wrap the teacher gifts for teacher appreciation week.. with one mom came one of Nora's other buddies so off they went to play. 

 

After they all left - Nora went next door to play a little then off to church we went.  We were so excited to see our friend Molly 

 and Fernanda receive their 1st Holy Communion...

 Hard to believe it's already been 2 years since Emily received her's.. wow! 

 Afterwards we headed up to Tracy and Darin's for dinner to celebrate..

 Great day full of friends and good times!

Eggs

This is what happens when you have a Friday morning like our's... drop Emily off at school, get Nora ready for school, drop her off, back to Emily's school to make copies, off to delivery Stampin' Up! orders, to the library for storytime, off to get Morgan for lunch, then back to get Nora from school and off to a playdate.

 After dropping Nora off we checked on our mockingbird nest since mama bird wasn't there.  Look at that... there's 4 speckled eggs in there... so cool!

 Then off to piano - Emily's last piano lesson before her recital.. and Nora's last lesson to sit and play on the front lawn.  After recital, Nora will be starting piano lessons as well..

Young Authors

It was marked on the calendar - she was going (yes, that is her writing on her chart from school)... 

 So while her sisters played...

 Her writing about Amanda Hawkins and the three wishes, gave her a chance to spend the day with a published author...

and to think some day she'll be a part of this...

Dr Day

 

 This morning was hectic; waiting for the dr to call, getting all 3 girls ready to head out the door but not sure of when we'd have to go.  So Morgan ended up taking Emily who had to be at school early... then we headed to the dr.  

Rose - it's just allergies, she's just congested but nothing infection.. whew!  Nora - well, thankfully she's a tough cookie... they had to scrape the wax out of her ear (the one she was complaining about last night) before they could even see in it.  (Mom, brings back Dr. Draper memories)... she did so good!  But, yes, she's got an ear infection... so our fridge now houses the pink stuff!

 

We did run up to Nora's school at picture time - they were taking class pictures today so I didn't want her to miss that... then home again and the girls played and played...Once Emily got home, we vegged in front of the TV some - it got up to 84 today and I think it just drained all of us... 

 

To finish up the night, bedtime went well so I'm hoping all will feel good tomorrow.. but to leave you tonight... here are the girl's final paintings from yesterday - Nora's on top.. then Emily's

Being Creative

 Today was actually a fun day - (yesterday was too - lunch at the park with my friend Katie... great to visit while Rose played and played) ... storytime (well, I could have done without Rose trying to do everything herself ... loudly!) but then home for a playdate.. after they left the girls wanted to paint... so paint they did...

 Then when Emily got home.. she wanted to paint... so paint they did..

 Quite fitting since I was painting last night too - this is one of our teacher gifts for teacher appreciation week...

 

But as the evening wore on .. it became evident that this little one will be heading to the dr tomorrow.. her coughing has gotten better but I guess she's still stuffy inside - she fell asleep upset with her ear hurting.. 

The Many Faces Of

 Today was a day full of pictures - I was trying to get a picture of Nora and Emily in their dance costumes for the recital program... then just having fun with Rose outside on this chilly windy day...
