Cookies

It's cookie time!!  Here is our troop's stash of almost 5000 boxes of cookies - and we'll be heading up to pick up more soon for booth sales!  Whew!  But - do you notice anything different?  That's not our garage!  The first time in 12 years that the cookies haven't been at our house.. woohoo!!!
Rose and Nora have been busy sorting and labeling - I'll pick up Emily's tomorrow from her troop...

Today was Nora's first day at stage manager with a 3 hour practice and meeting for the play!  Whew!
She was definitely excited and talked about it the whole way to dance... but we had some extra excitement on the way when a bobcat crossed the road right in front of us too!!

Games and Parts

So much fun at Girl Scouts today - Nora was making hidden compartment books and Rose was creating and playing games.
Emily was out making another meal at the Ronald McDonald House

Then Nora was so excited at night to see that she got Stage Manager for the upcoming school play.

Rose and I wrapped up the evening playing her game she created at Girl Scouts.

Books and Movies

The rest of the week was much quieter thankfully!
Quiet time at home to sit and read and hang out...
Rose was so close to finishing Book 4 - she was reading everywhere she went...

and finally after dinner - she was done.. now onto Book 5...
This is a project she did at school - a self portrait and listed are all things "in her head"...
ME - well, I froze at recess duty Friday - just had to capture the bundling up.. brrrr....
Today was beautiful though - temps in the 60s but boy was it windy - so windy our eagle cruise was canceled...
But we ran a couple errands - Hobby Lobby for quilting supplies and the tea shop for some new tea...
Rose had a playdate and rode bikes all over the neighborhood...
 Then off to dinner...
and a movie with our crew...

Morgan was at work all day so it was nice to have him home to join us!
 It was so good!!!

Missing in Action

What a week - it actually hasn't even been a week but feels like forever - so many things going on, the evenings fly by and I fall into bed.  We have the on going saga of the city installing a cell tower out our back fence - lots and lots of emails!!  I've been spending a lot of time working on a special project
and spotty a picture of this guy just made our week!
Morgan was out with the electrical engineering crew last night at a social event and I spotted him in a FB picture that they posted - ha!
But to back track...

Valentine's ... even though Valentine's Day was Thursday - Rose's class party was Friday, and she was prepping for that the last time I posted...
Our Valentine's day was a tad crazy - teacher gifts were done, but Emily was still not feeling well so after school, we headed to the dr.  But first had to get Rose to art - where Emily got a little cuddle time with one of her favorites - Leo!

After sitting at the dr. office for almost 2 hours - our Valentine dinner was amended a little... thank goodness for delivery!!

and for Morgan picking up Rose and some goodies on the way home to round out our meal...

Then it was party day...

And home and Emily practicing piano...

and Nora baking... she made 2 sets of cupcakes this week...
We got our PetSmart time in...

and then Saturday was Thinking Day for Girl Scouts...

Nora is part of a leadership team for 6th-8th graders and they  did the flag ceremony.

Monday we had no school due to President's Day - more cupcakes from Nora...
and fort building with their extra day off!

Rose is almost done with Book 4 of Harry Potter - less than 100 pages to go!!

and today we had Nora's Odyssey of the Mind meeting - only one more to go and competition is Saturday March 2nd!

Emily has the ACT tomorrow at school so she's been brushing up on her math...
and Rose is still reading away...
now for bed - for tomorrow will come way too soon!  Whew!

Across the Pond

Nora spent 3 weeks in England on a study abroad program - Medieval England... she had the best time.  I'll gather up more of her pictur...
