New Year

 We are prepping for a new year - kicking it off with lunch with my friend Katie (Rose "called" Nora on the way to let her know - nice of her huh?!)

After school it was Nora's 1st day of dance of the new year... Rose will start next week. 

 But then tonight - Rose finally got to school... she's been asking almost daily since Nora and Emily started back.  Her teacher this year is Mrs. Bren.  She was so excited to be at school with her friends... her first day will be next Wednesday. 

Now off to my homework - figuring out what we can salvage from our trip out west this weekend... we should be heading out tomorrow - where we go and what we end up seeing is a different story!

Animal Time

 This morning we went to the fair - we went with our church playgroup.  We don't get to do too much with them but with school not started yet we were able to join them.  The animal displays were the only thing open and we had a lot of fun.  Rose pet a baby cow....we wandered around looking at the other cows.

 To wrap up the day - we had a robotics meeting here - gearing up for the competition in November. 

Time a Tickin'

 Our day was chock full ofor Emilyf things going on - in a blink of an eye the day was over... got the big girls off to school ...then Rose and I headed to our school.  It was a work day to get our rooms set up and Rose was with the other staff children all day.  We left there and went to the post office then to Walmart... home in time for Emily.  Rose had fun playing with Dad's drums and the other girls played the piano and enjoy a couple new iPad games.  Emily loves this week's piano assignment... she has played it almost 30 times and she only has to play it 10!  Here's a little peek:

 After dinner (a new yummy recipe - lasagna roll ups!)  and getting the younger two to bed, Emily and I set out - this is our newest little adventure... doing laps in the field.... close enough if the girls need me - monitor in hand... but a nice chance for a little exercise with my oldest...

Girl Scouts

 It's Girl Scouting Time again!!  Today was our first meeting of the year  - just a gathering, planning, parent meeting one but it was fun to get the girls together again.  Emily's troop is starting on their new adventure as Cadettes and Nora's troop will be finishing up Daisies and working on getting ready to bridge to Brownies at the end of the school year!  It will be a fun year for sure!
