New Years Eve

A beautiful sunrise this morning..and this throw back came across the digital frame...look how young they all were?

A day at home after some morning errands...then some ambrosia making after lunch...

And some construction, a Lego table this time...

And Emily and I took down the Christmas tree...it was time, I usually wait till after New Years but just wanted everything wrapped up for now..

Then Morgan made it home in time for polish leftovers for dinner...and our ambrosia for dessert...

Then for bed, Nora and Rose wanted a sleepover ...so off to bed they went reading together while the rest of us wrap up 2015 finishing up the Harry Potter movies...happy New Years!

Airport Trip

A little play time this morning before heading to the airport...squeezing out every last minute of time together...even Gabby was on Dads heels before we left...

Then off to the airport we went...with a not too happy little girl...

Hard goodbyes...

And then home to clean up ...laundry to be done and Christmas decoration put away...

While putting away the decorations, I pulled out the girls clothes buckets...and we had fun trying on clothes ...

Then wrapped up the day with a little Star Wars...Empire Strikes Back this time...

So now the guest room is empty...sigh...

Wrapping Up

 Wrapping up a great visit with Mom and Dad here - the weather could have been better, but nothing beats the company!!  We hung out yesterday watching Star Wars together...

 Rose was still not up to par and resting was just what she needed...

 After some Star Wars fun, the girls really liked the Jimmy Fallon video with the characters...

Emily's been on a Harry Potter marathon so we enjoyed some more movie time last night... 

 Today we went to some stores this morning, then enjoyed a few rounds of dominoes before heading to dinner...

 We had to get to our favorite restaurant before Mom and Dad left...

 We all loved (and agreed with ) Mom's fortune!!

Home again and the girls got to stay up late making Lego creations and putting together puzzles... 

 Then it was time to wrap it up  - bedtime stories with Mimi and we will be off to the airport tomorrow morning...

Rainy Day...Still

Rainy day again...so far tonight we have had 9 inches of rain with this storm...and still more to come...so we stayed inside and played...

And played some more...

Found this while cleaning some, one of Emily's drawings...

Then this one started complaining of being cold...and after some time, ended up with a fever..

So as the rain continued to fall...

And more roads being closed...

We cleaned up Christmas gifts...

Explored new games on the iPad together...

And new board games together ...

A little tv watching before bedtime...

And then a little maintenance...with this much rain, we have discovered a leaky door...water coming in up under the door...not fun but hopefully resolved quickly once the rain stops!
