1st Week Wrap Up

We all made it through our first week of classes and school.. so we got together for dinner.  The perfect way to wrap up this crazy week - together...

 

School Walks

Yesterday morning was Rose's first time walking to school on her own... she did so good!

Hard to see our youngest making the walk to middle school - wow - where did the time go?

Morgan got a picture of his class - all masked up - it made it's debut on the Electical Engineering FB page...

Here she goes again today - she's warming up to it - she said the mornings are fine... but the afternoons can be too buggy for her... but that'll get better! 

We had a beautiful rainbow tonight!  The calm before the storm as Hurricane Laura seems to be making a bee line for us

 

First Day!

Today we kicked off the 2020-2021 school year... 1st day of college freshman (she had a busy busy day!)... first day of 5th grade (first day of middle school) .... and first day of 8th grade (last year of jr. high)....

Rose received the red carpet treatment at Holt...

and Nora headed off with all her stuff in tow...

Rose's teacher was so sweet to send me a first day of school picture since we couldn't get one at Open House..

After school we enjoyed a special treat...

But tonight - her message changed... love it!!!

 

Open House - Kind of

The countdown to school has begun - open houses this week, schedules released.. we picked up Rose's chromebook

and had her open house virtually...

She's really excited - she got Mrs. Toomey as an advisor...

but without being in school physically, we didn't get to show Rose where her homeroom class is or how to get out to walk home.. so the girls wandered Google Earth today and Nora showed her the routes...

Then Rose had fun taking apart our old printer - ...

It'd say she did a pretty good job...

and is having fun exploring her chromebook, getting ready for school Monday...
