Christmas Eve & Christmas Day

Yesterday we finally had time to bake cookies for Santa... 

before heading out to deliver a meal to the Ronald McDonald House.. 


Look who we saw on the way to the square... 


We grabbed some tea and hot chocolate and then wandered around the lights downtown... 


















Back home for presents and a  movie... 





Before setting up for Santa to come... 
and some last minute checks from NORAD on where Santa was before heading to bed




The girls let us sleep until almost 7 this morning which was great!  





and then once Morgan and Emily joined us, it was time to open presents... 
















































Facetime always makes the miles apart a little easier... 














and the girls spent most of the afternoon just playing and working on Legos or new games... 


This was Emily's Lego set - a flower bouquet... 





To wrap up the day... dinner... 
and yummy dessert... 
a movie.. 
and then checking on the baby cheetahs... it's raining in VA so she has them in the inside den, lucky for us!
