Tree Cutting
A very early morning for us as we headed out to church this morning - Nora was singing with the choir this morning - she loves singing at Mass...
Once home and after lunch - a little homework... Rose had a timeline to create for school... she did a great job!!
Then after checking and rechecking the weather and just biting the bullet - we headed up to the Christmas tree farm... the pumpkin patch that we usually go to has been growing Christmas trees so we were so excited to go this weekend - but the fact that it's been raining since Thursday - not the perfect outings weather... we got there and the rain was down to a misting... but the damage was done to the nice dirt road and we got stuck getting into the farm - 5 guys pushing the car and we were finally free to browse the farm...
lots to choose from...
migrating geese to watch...
and finally found one...
Then it was time to cut it down...
Nora and Rose were ready to go...
and with some help from Morgan - they did it!
Emily helped support it from above...
and then they got it -all ready to be taken home...
So we took the muddy road home... Morgan drove us out of the real mud pit and I took it from there..
So in it comes...
Look how pretty!!!
And it smells so good...
So while the tree is settling in - we celebrated a birthday... just a couple days early... :o)
