Happy Easter

Happy Easter Everyone!  The girls have been so excited about this morning...so excited that the storms we had roll through last night woke them up and we had to convince them to go back to sleep at midnight.  Around 6:30 the sounds of giggles and excitement came through the monitor.  Our picture with the Easter bunny this year became a family one when Rose didn't want to go sit with her sisters... Mommy and Daddy were not prepared for a picture that day! Ha! :o)
So onto this morning - after a restless night, we were a little slow getting out the door this morning...
a little fun with Easter baskets and then off to get ready for Mass.

A quick family picture before we headed out the door with baskets, change of clothes and camera in hand.
What a wonderful heartfelt Mass.  We got there on time but boy was it packed.  We were able to get seats thanks to some kind people that squeezed in to make room for me and the girls - Morgan did a good job holding up the wall the whole time.  Fr. John's homily almost brought me to tears - (here's the link if you want to listen http://sjfay.podbean.com/, how wonderful it would be to have Steve come through the doors to sit with us at Mass, miss him dearly, the homily just really hit home) - and the girls did such a great job through the longer than usual Mass.   Then it was on to the egg hunt.  Morgan had left to get the girls' baskets but when we first got to the gym he hadn't found us yet - so the girls made do...

 Then Daddy to the rescue...
And off they go again, gathering up eggs.  So funny to watch the kids ...

This is the only picture I got of all three girls going around the room - can you find them?  Kind of like a "Where's Waldo?" page. :o)

Ahh - there they all are.

Then we headed out - welcomed with beautiful blue skies and buds on the trees.
A quick run to the food store for a car picnic lunch...

Then off we went.. our destination?  Glory Hole Trail...

We made it - muddy parking and all...
So we all changed, Rose was loaded up and we were ready to go...

Our official start time...

A family picture along the trail...

Then we found it... you could have missed it if we weren't looking for it... keep scrolling down... below these rocks...

Is Glory Hole... seems fitting to go see such a named place on Easter. :o)  Just an amazing spot..

We then continued to hike around the rock bluff and under where you see the water come through the rock, Glory Hole.

So fun exploring everything, the leaves, the moss, we all took it all in...had giggles and fun along the way.

And here it is from underneath...

Rose had a break from the backpack and came to explore the waterfall with us.

This is a little washed out but you can see up above the rock bluff, the water fall of Glory Hole coming through the rock and the girls..
Then we ventured in...

So cool...

After a little more exploring, we started our trek back.

Rose wanted to say goodbye to the waterfall.

And then the final stretch back - Rose found a good "Daddy Go" button...
And our official finish time. Not bad...
Here's a link to the track we took:

And then it was time to load up and head home..
Home for our Easter dinner...

And yummy dessert...

Happy Easter everyone!
