Scouts, Class and Cold

Between one party and prepping for another - we've had a busy week... Emily and her troop finished up their quilting class.  

Sunday was Girl Scouts and Nora's crew headed to the library to learn about Costa Rica... 

 We had a trail clean up..

 and Rose's crew learned about Peru..

 We then headed out to dinner for Nora's birthday...

 Nora had fun with her birthday gifts throughout her free time too! 

This morning we woke up to frigid temps...

and after school Emily's AP World History class had an exhibit at the UofA Union.  They did a project back in the Fall called "Putting a Face on Islam" the class projects are all on display for a few days now.

Birthday Celebrations

 Yesterday was Nora's 12th birthday!  It's a full birthday celebrating weekend....

 We were surprised with some birthday snow yesterday afternoon...

 Beautiful snowflakes...

 We had a wrap up Lego League meeting to take apart all the lego structures...   and some ice cream to wrap up the season...

 But we still had celebrating to do - we had key lime birthday pie for Nora..

 Then birthday presents...

 Today we celebrated with friends..

 sorting hats cookies and snitch truffles...

 and pretzel rod wands...

 and owls with thank you notes to deliver in the morning...

 Happy Happy Birthday Nora!!

 and a game of quiddich...

 Then gift time..

 all this while Emily was quilting away - she had her last quilting class today - and all the girls got a huge goodie bag of quilting suplies...

 and the party girls are supposedly settling in watching Harry Potter for the night....
