Started the morning at the Farmer's Market - we didn't sign up for our weekly farm CSA this year so I wanted to try and get more locally grown veggies each week at the farmer's market...
Once home, we cleaned out our stash of nail polish and had some fun painting everyone's nails...
We also checked on our garden out back - amongst all the weeds growing (need to get out there!) we have some food ripening nicely!
Then game night to wrap up the evening...

Summer Days
Back tracking a few days - some pictures from our last couple days with Mom and Dad here... Emily sharing her trip souvenirs...
Playing Spit together...
Barbie explosions...
And Nora off for volunteer time at the library..
and lunches out...
Rose wanted to show them Whimsy Cookie- such a fun place!
and then time to head to the airport...
It didn't take long for Misty to take over the guest bed again...
and we finally cut into the Father's Day cake that was forgotten in the freezer.. ha!
more volunteer time for Nora..
and then cooking a meal at the Ronald McDonald House with the troop...
Rose has been busy reading - as has Nora (she's finished one series and now onto another) - but Rose was trying so hard to finish Book 5 of Harry Potter....
Off to the pool a little today - and Rose had a big day... first time ever jumping off the diving board...
Here's a video :
Emily and I headed off to the UofA to meet with a professor there and Emily spotted this lovely crack on our windshield - never a dull moment for sure!
Once on campus - we had this beauty run in front of us and then run across the green in front of Old Main...
and once home - Rose shared the big news that she was done with Book 5 and now onto Book 6... only one more to go after this one!
