Last and First Day

Yesterday was the last day of school - Nora came with me and was Mystery Reader for a few of her past teachers - she read to a Kindergarten class,a  1st grade class and  a 2nd grade class.  

Rose headed across the field for the last time...

And then home for goodies after school - Rose had a really really hard time leaving school! 

A little Minecraft fun always helps...

We inherited a new table and set the playroom all up for summer fun! 

Then off to the library for our first summer stash collection...

and a yummy dinner! 

and the first of the closet clean outs - and sister trade offs! 

 

Surprises

Little surprises here and there - making a crazy week a little better...I found out yesterday that I'll have an actual classroom next year!  Yay!!  Can't wait to make it mine! :)

Mom and Dad had some beautiful tiger lilies pop up in their yard! 

And while fixing up our plants and garden...

We found some surprise potatoes that were never harvested last year...

and a little friend outside hiding in the grass...

Today was Rose's award ceremony...

So proud of her - she received her packs' self manager award and the Presidential Gold Award for getting straight A's both years of middle school...

This afternoon she was prepping teacher and friend gifts - her last day at Holt is going to be a hard one...

 

Recitals and Plays

It was  a busy busy weekend last weekend...

Kicking it off was Rose's class play - she was the bailiff in the play "Big Bad" - the trial of the Big Bad Wolf.  

She did great.. she got to swear in all the witnesses

Then off Saturday morning to piano recital...
