Tinkering Around

Love the laziness of summer...time to do whatever (for us at least, Morgan had to give a talk and tour of the lab and research to a senator today)...the girls played and played today.  

We played games,  they all made stuff on rainbow loom, built with K'Nex...

And this one, she sunk my battleship! :). 

Summer Fun

Yesterday we spent the afternoon bowling...the girls had a great time!

We enjoyed watching a movie with dinner...

And had some yummy homemade cobbler with our own blackberries and fresh picked blueberries.

Today Rose had fun at the superhero tea party at the library.

After they read stories and sang songs, they had a puppet show.

And a special guest...

Then some yummy treats...

We got to sit by our neighbors from across the street... And Emily and Nora join us once we were almost done.

So much fun and it was great to see Miss Alyson!

Back home for some sewing fun...

Nora made this all by herself (almost)...

And Rose helped with her brand-new cape...

She sewed the button on all by herself...

Emily had fun with her friend over...

And we wrapped up with some just dance fun!

Good Pickins

A little morning Lego fun before heading out to go blueberry picking... 

 the weather was beautiful - nice and cool and breezy ... but even with that, it got pretty warm standing in the sun picking berries.

 Once home, the girls were busy busy... Rose hung out with the Pink Panther and helped clean out Emily's closet...

 Nora had fun with the stuff coming out of Emily's closet to the playroom...

 and the book shelf in the hallway got more full as Emily cleaned out...

 With the empty space in her closet now - Polly decided it needed to be filled again - can you see her?

 Then after dinner, Nora and I went out and checked on our blackberries - lots of yummy goodness!

 Then for bedtime - some nighttime reading - love Nora's poses when she reads... and Rose, well, I'm glad she finally found a word she didn't know - I found this Dick and Jane compilation book we have when cleaning out Emily's closet and decided to show it to Rose... well, she kept reading and reading.. here are a couple movies of her reading tonight:
