Then we were off to piano - Emily was thrilled that she gets the next level piano book for the rest of her Christmas songs! She's doing so good with her playing! But it was a quick turnaround once home... we had to eat and she had to get ready for her school's Fall Festival. Morgan was going to take her but had to stay at work to continue working on this grant. So our friends took her - she was so excited! It's started later than last year (so it put it right at Nora's bedtime) and they raised the prices on things so for Nora to play we'd have to pay $7.00 for an armband for her to play any games - Emily's cost $10.00 - a little steep for a school family event!
This morning was rough - Emily was beat... up late from us being out and just getting slower and slower in the morning... so frustrating. She's not happy about our punishment of earlier bedtime but something has to give... it's getting worse rather than better... more mouthy and everything.. ugh! Today after school though the girls had fun playing Twister and making pumpkins on the computer (thanks Cecilia!).
To finish off tonight - I received my week 25 update today - only 15 more weeks... here's what little Peanut has been up to:
Today is the start of a short week for Emily. She has conferences this week so there's no school Friday. It's also spirit week - today being hat day. She was up and at 'em ready to go on time which was great! Tomorrow is jammie day - so she's all excited about that! Of course Nora was her usual busy self today. And once back from getting Emily from school - she was determined she was going too. She packed her backpack and was ready to go - not before grabbing some Halloween candy from the stash. Then the girls went into the game closet to check out their glow bracelets and didn't come out for 45 minutes.. they were in their playing games!
I received good news today from my doctor. My blood results came back from my antibody count - they are actually back down to 2!!! YAY!! What a relief! I was worrying that they would start going up with each visit since they increased last month. I'm not sure why they went back down but that's fine.. I'll take it! They also said that the healthy department received their H1N1 vaccines so I called and left a message there to see if they could get me in.
We then picked up lunch and headed down 540 - the trees look beautiful - the pictures don't do them justice! We passed through "the tunnel" and took the next exit over to the Boston Mountain Scenic Loop to head back up to Fayetteville. There were lots of people out just taking in the leaves - stopping at overlooks and taking pictures. Once home we hung out for a little bit before heading outside. The girls wanted to rake the leaves and jump in them. Morgan finished laying rock for our little path through one of our front garden beds. While the girls were playing Morgan got the call that they are meeting tonight to work more on the grant. So after a Kohl's and Target trip, we ate and he headed in.
The girls are all snug in bed - one asleep - hopefully the other to follow soon! I'm sitting watching "The Patriot" (great movie) while tutoring.. so far no students which is nice... so maybe it will be a slow evening.
I did get some scrapbooking done and dinner cooked early - I figured after the morning we had we were all going to bed early - at least the girls!
When Emily came home we had a little time before heading out to piano - the girls were actually decent and were both in good moods. We then went to piano and then back home for dinner... Nora crashed pretty early not before a last meltdown - she just seemed exhausted... Emily is heading to bed now. Saying it's not fair and that she promises not to act that way again - well, I told her it should be that way but for the way things went this morning she'll be heading to bed early. So we'll see how this plays out.
Then back home and hung out a little bit and I decided to bring Nora to storytime. We were extra careful - she didn't play with any of the community puzzles or computers. We got our books, sat through storytime which she loved (they had a puppet show today) and hand sanitized after checking out books and then in the car again. I should have brought my camera because the view (even though cloudy and rainy) from the library was really showing off the Ozark in full Fall bloom!
Yesterday was the crazy day - Emily had show and tell yesterday and wanted to bring her K'Nex ferris wheel in that she made. So the morning started with walking her into school for that.. then it was off to Walmart then home for a little bit. Then off to get Emily from school - get her and Nora to their doctor for their flu mist finally.. then to my appt. for Peanut. Morgan took the girls home for that which was good since Emily was quite upset with how the flu mist made her nose feel.
We then had about 30 minutes before soccer started so we ran through McDonald's - grabbed dinner and sat in the soccer field parking lot to eat. Emily changed into her uniform and off we went.
It was a great game! Emily scored her very first goal! She was so so excited!!! She only has one more game - this Saturday - brr.... it's supposed to be 32 that morning!
Today was a nice day - rough start with two tired girls... but turned out ok - we went to school to make copies.. home again.. then out to meet my friend Tracy for lunch. After lunch we came back to the house and she helped me organize baby stuff.. what a great help! Now Morgan just needs to bring it all downstairs. Nora also made a new buddy today - we found this caterpillar outside before it got too cold and windy to be out there anymore.
And to finish up tonight - here is a little update about Peanut - almost done with trimester 2...Nora spent 3 weeks in England on a study abroad program - Medieval England... she had the best time. I'll gather up more of her pictur...
