New Week

Well, we made it a whole day without any new injuries...yay!  The girls headed to school early for their run club...they had a lot of fun!

After school, home for snack and then back out for dance, getting Emily and art class and home again for a bit...
Knock on wood, we'll have another good day tomorrow!  :) I better sleep on that! :)

Fresh Start

So, can we just have a fresh start?!  Whew - hoping this week is better.. and today was a little glimmer of hope!  Ha!

Rose, Nora and I were up and out early this morning - Nora was singing with the choir at church so we had to be there at 8:15am... she loves it!!
After Mass, religion and then Sam's for lunch and shopping - we finally made it home.

I'm not entirely sure where the rest of the afternoon went... I blinked and it was dinner time... then baths... Nora's poor leg - this is what her bike accident left her - that's just her right leg.  Her left leg has a couple scratches too but this is the worst one...
The two younger girls got to bed early - Nora and I sat and watched Shyla move around some - it's our first time really seeing her out and about.
But hopefully everyone sleeps well- Nora and Rose are getting to school early for the next 2 weeks due to joining the Holcomb Run Club for an upcoming Fun Run.  We are all participating... but they are doing a special training for the kids at school in the mornings.  Emily is up finishing up a few projects - it's either all or nothing this year it seems... whew!  And Morgan is suffering from what I had/have. Today is a lot better for me but when I cough it still sounds awful - but he started with the coughing, sneezing, stuffy stuff so ugh... hopefully his doesn't last as long as mine did!!!
Here's to another week and hopefully it will be just a tad less eventful than this week - and no more Nora injuries!!!

Saturday

Wrapping up this week and hoping next week is better!  Yesterday, I wandered to school to make copies after work and found Rose reading with her kinder buddy...so sweet! Then after school we celebrated with ice cream for Nora making the Battle of the Books team for 3rd grade!
A little down time
But no kitty or school dance time, both Morgan and I were feeling icky so I told the girls that they can gave a movie night instead,  :)

This morning was a beautiful morning!  Emily had to get to school to decorate for French week.  And then Nora and rose went outside to ride bikes amd is stand watched for a little bit.

So fun!

But then it was time to head out for Roses first practice of the season.
She was so excited to get to play again.

Home again for some downtime, then Nora and Rose headed out to ride bikes again, Nora ended up getting hurt but they had fun...hopefully she'll have a better week next week!

Catching Up

A crazy night last night with Rose up falling out of bed...and then this is how Morgan found her this morning!

After getting everyone to school, I played catch up...finally putting away birthday party craft things, Girl Scout materials, filed papers, cleaned off desks...whew!
Then it was time to get the girls...it was freezing outside and here comes Rose, pants rolled up and all!
After getting Emily, we stopped by the hair salon to sell some cookies and then onto
PetSmart. Nora's little hermit crab didn't make it through its molting process...we gave it lots of time but it was pretty evident that it went to hermit crab heaven.  So she wanted a new one....introducing Shyla, Nora said that's her name because she's being so shy! :)

What Snow?

Well, still missed another chance at snow...or even much rain...we were forecasted for it all and got hardly anything.  I had to video the snow coming down to prove to the girls it did actually snow last night..
Because I knew it wouldn't last...our where we go to see the elk?  Well, this is what it looked like there this morning (photo by Tim Ernst off FB)
So jealous...so pretty..

We all had our days at school, my meds seem to be working but now I'm all dribble so I guess everything's doing its job clearing me out.  The girls piano lessons were canceled as their teacher has the flu so we meandered around and went to the library...

Then picked up Morgan from his new digs and went out to dinner together...
So nice just hanging out...

Lots of stories...
Lots of giggles...

So fun...
But off to bed for me, as predicted my lovely sinus cocktail shot had me til until 3:50am...so I'm a tad tired...so hopefully a good nights sleep will help!

Art All Around

This morning venture to the doctor went as I expected... well, my doctor wasn't in so I went to the walk in - but I left with a sinus cocktail shot and a prescription for antibiotics.  She said I gave it a good run but since I was starting to have fever too and it had been a couple weeks, it was time to treat it with antibiotics ...
So the day's been interesting - trying to rest but that shot gears me up... but the girls enjoyed some art time...

and maybe I'll do a little too later...
But I have our tax stuff all together (this is the latest I have ever gotten them done...ever!!!), figured the last time they gave me this shot - I was up til 4am not being able to sleep, so if I'm going to be up, might as well get some things done!  Here's to feeling better!!!

Rough Start

Today started a little rough...just tired, the girls were too from being up late last night...but we meandered through our day.  I was all prepped for our crazy afternoon;Sams run for cookies for PTO, Emily's orthodontist appt, back for Nora's dance and Emily's art class...but all that changed when I got a call from school about Nora.  She fell during recess, slipped off one of the parallel bars that you slide down, caught herself, but with her neck.  So I picked her up after work but told her we'd have to head to Emily's appt before resting at home.  She was ok, although the school nurse left me with saying to watch her breathing and if I notice any gasping to bring her to the doctor as she might have injured her airway.  It's hard to see but she has a bruise on her jaw bone and a red mark down on her neck by her clavicle.

After dropping Emily off, we ran to the store for some Advil, pack of frozen peas as her ice pack was melting and found a snuggle bunny to help her feel better.
I was able to drop Emily off early for her art class and we headed home in time to get Rose from the bus stop.
And then just vegged til we had to get Emily...as once I sat down, I just didn't feel good either.
After not feeling well, then a couple days of feeling ok, I'm back to feeling icky...
(One of Emily's drawings she did in art class)
So even though it looks like Nora won't need to go to the doctor....looks like I will ...as I settle into bed early, I have a slight fever of almost 100...ugh!  Hopefully our rough start to our week can only get better from here.

Across the Pond

Nora spent 3 weeks in England on a study abroad program - Medieval England... she had the best time.  I'll gather up more of her pictur...
