Week 2

One week down... and onto the next.  Me back in the classroom - and slowly getting all my stuff together - but fun teaching again! 

Here's my little cart - but big plans tonight - making it all fancy tomorrow. :)

We added another Corolla back into the family...

and I got all mic'ed up at school - talking through a mask from 9-3 all day makes for a scratchy throat...

Sunday we had our Girl Scout kickoff meeting - a roller skating party for our troop - so fun! 

Looking forward to a great year with them - and I'm kicking off my 15th year as a Girl Scout leader.. so hard to believe!

Today was the first day of school for Emily - didn't get a picture of her but here's Nora wandering through the UofA campus for me to pick her up... we are having a heat wave this week with temps in the upper 90s - whew! 

Here's to week 2!! 

 

First Day of School

We made it - first day of school!!  Rose off to 6th grade...

and Nora off to 9th grade! 

They rolled out the red carpet at the middle school...

and Nora headed off to navigate her way through the high school! 

They  both had wonderful 1st days!!!

 

Move In

The guest room was packed with everything ready to go - we just had our FLL meeting this morning to do and then it was time to pack up the car... 

We had a check in time for 2pm... 

so off we went... this time with helpers.  Last year we couldn't bring them as we were limited on how many guests could come.  

Here she is... 

Her home for the next school year.  Classes start in a week so she has some time to settle in... 

She loves her room... 

and her balcony... 

This year Emily is still in university housing but they are apartments - she has 3 other roommates and they share a kitchen, living room and laundry room.  

We spotted some outside critters from her view - a groundhog and some birds... hopefully she'll love her new space and really enjoy it!!  

Before heading to dinner, we found her mailbox... 

and also wandered the trails around her place... 

We headed up the hill to the dining hall .. 

even dinner was so much better than last year - Emily was so excited to see the chairs all back, self serving meals - last year everything was restricted... 

and then we wandered back to her dorm before we headed out... hoping for a wonderful year for her!!
