Sewing Days

The girls are really enjoying their new sewing machines - and after rearranging the sewing room some, we have room for all of us to sew! 

We headed out to the movie theater - first time in almost a year... we saw the new Wonder Woman movie - it was really good....

The girls made themselves pincushions - Nora's is a cactus and Rose's is a mouse...

But then when we were getting snack, Nora looked out and spotted an eagle flying out back...

Beautiful sight out our backyard - so cool! 

We started on a new puzzle...

and more sewing going on...

and today was sauce making day - the house smelled so yummy! 

and Emily finished her pants sewing project - they turned out so good! 

 

Christmas and More

This week just flew by - some usual Christmas activities, some new ones and some that we couldn't do. 

Wednesday - Emily's Girl Scout troop finally got to Build a Bear - they wanted to do it last year as part of their Senior year bucket list but you know how last year went... but it was so fun to get them together over break! 

 

 

Way back in May, we uploaded Emily's picture to this project for her senior picture to be included in a mosaic that would be launched with the Space X Dragon mission. It was really cool at the time but then they were selling it as a puzzle so for her birthday, we got it for her. Today, she put the puzzle together to hang in her room... such a neat way to celebrate the Class of 2020!

Nora baked a cake Thursday for Christmas dessert...

Then we exchanged our family gifts...

Had fun with all our new games...

Facetime with family... always fun! 

 

Took a few tries - but finally got a family picture! 

We had fun tracking Santa - notice the mask he's wearing!  Ha! 

This morning was a chilly one...

but we were greeted with a pair of great horned owls out back....

Then it was present time..

Lots and lots of fun and happy faces....

Morgan's UFO drone was lots of fun...

More Facetime fun...

and a yummy dinner...

more game time..

and delicious dessert to wrap up the day..
