Our Random Thursday

Oh our lazy days of summer... so nice to have no where to go right away... just hanging out, playing with magnets, the computer, ipad... doing whatever... it's great.

I got a jump start on my lesson plans for the school year and catching up on emails as well as updating our photo cubes.. love this picture of Nora and Emily!

And of course since it's Throwback Thursday - tossing it back to 1997 on our first trip to West Jefferson, NC - looking forward to another adventure there next week.
Then come the afternoon, we actually did have to head out for piano lessons.  Nora was very excited to get "Pop Goes the Weasel" as one of her songs...
And while we waited for lessons, here's my little companion - drawing away, making pictures for everyone... windows down, people watching is wonderful on campus!, but the weather was perfect!  Almost chilly when the winds would blow...

Errands

Today was errand day - catching up on things before our next adventure... up and out early for a car check up (after almost 5000 miles in and around Florida - we needed it!)... then back home for gathering books for storytime.
After that, to the jewelers to fix my watch... the camera shop to pick up Emily's prints... home for lunch and then out again for my eye appt... but this time I went kid free... Emily watched the girls while I went and look... they were all playing nicely when I got back!
Then out again for a dinner with Daddy..
and then home again and some time to finish my book... now to just wait for the next one to come out!

Catching Up

It's been quite a couple days settling back in to home - we were unpacked Saturday night... then cleaned house and went food shopping Sunday to restock the fridge... The weather has been beautiful!  We spent all morning yesterday outside playing... Nora's doing better and better with no training wheels but opted to just play after some more practicing...
Then our package arrived with our little Tsum Tsums... so cute!!!

We then hit the road after lunch to do some shopping - we needed to do school supply shopping for Nora and clothes shopping for all three...
We even got to ride on the new flyover for the first time - and took a video.. ha!

Then more outside time - I had to drag these two in for dinner!
And then a new phase... these went into the trash and Rose is now pull up free for night time - do you realize that we have had diapers and/or pull ups for the past (almost) 13 years!?  Feels great to be on the road of no more!  And amazingly enough - Rose has been dry both nights... let's hope it continues!
This morning I woke up to a note on our bathroom mirror and a set of banana messages from Nora... so sweet...
Then a day spent at home - watching the bunnies and hummingbirds...
Making crafts and playing (we made countdown to school chains to keep track of how many days til school starts - after Nora and Rose asked me at least 10 times today when school starts - I figured it would come in handy for them to be able to count when they wanted to know)

Then some drawing time to wrap up the day...

Cruising

What an amazing trip - and what fun celebrating my wonderful parent's on their 45th anniversary!  We had a wonderful time on the Disney Dream... we left Port Canaveral on Sunday, spent the day on Monday in Nassau, Tuesday at Disney's Castaway Cay then a day at sea on Wednesday before pulling into port again on Thursday morning.  It was a magical, memorable, great time for all... especially since we were all together... so many wonderful moments but my weary mind after the 11 hour drive to Birmingham today has to get some sleep - but here are some (emphasis on some - we took  A LOT of pictures!)  favorite pictures, some videos to share and all the pictures from me and my dad on Walmart if you feel like browsing through them all...
