This and That

A little of this and that today - Christmas decorations watching over the little ones...
A little kitty having fun with the Christmas decorations...

A cold morning, down to 26, making everything all frosty and frozen outside...

A beautiful sunrise to kick off the day too!
Then all the girls in turn heading out for school.
Then time to head out the door to head to storytime.
The kids created ornaments to decorate the tree in the children's section with...
After a little running around, Rose enjoyed breaking in Dad's rental... still no word on their car, ugh!
But we did pick up these little beauties.. they finished firing the pottery pieces from Emily's birthday party so we were able to pick them up today.
A quick wrap up of the day - piano, littlest one falling asleep in the car, a few errands, back home for dinner, littlest one staying asleep (we'll see how long that lasts - bedtime at 4:30pm is not a usual thing!), bedtime stories, and a few rounds of Spit...

Last Day

This morning started so nice and quiet... enjoying our Christmas decorations... the day was beautiful - not a cloud in the sky!  We reorganized and clean out the garage then headed to the store.  Once home we spent the rest of the afternoon outside.
 The girls rode their bikes...

 And we enjoyed the sunshine..
While the girls finished up their chalk masterpieces - we got ready to head out to Lin's Garden.. we didn't think we would have time to go but since their stay has been extended we took advantage of the extra time to go...

But today is the last day before heading back to school - it's been a great week off and we are already looking forward to the time we have off at Christmas...

Christmas Prep

Today we were on a mission to find a Christmas tree... the first one we found was the one we brought home... the girls celebrated with eating candy canes!

After lunch, we headed home and watched Rudolph and got the tree set up.

We then decorated and watched the FSU/UF game...

Too bad the Seminoles didn't pull it off - but at least the house is all set up for Christmas... inside and out!  Now to just get the cards in the mail Monday!

Day at home

A nice day at home gave us a chance to get out the Christmas decorations and have some play time at home.  The girls played and built with Legos...and I also tackled the job of prepping all our Christmas cards to be ready to mail...almost there...

Thanksgiving

A slice of our Thanksgiving - sausage egg casserole for breakfast, watching the parade, making phone calls, watching the dog show, a little playing outside, a feast of turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffed mushrooms, corn casserole, green bean casserole, cranberry bread, rolls and gravy.  A little break for some Wii play then homemade pecan, pumpkin and pudding pie with homemade whipped cream and ice cream for dessert... yum!

Across the Pond

Nora spent 3 weeks in England on a study abroad program - Medieval England... she had the best time.  I'll gather up more of her pictur...
