5807 Forever....

I was so excited this morning to go pick up cookies - they were for Emily's troop.  We were getting them together for one last good bye - which wasn't an easy feat with work and travel schedules.. and getting ready to head to college...

But we made it  - and they ALL came!  I was so glad!!  They all chatted and caught up with everyone - despite the storms rolling around us...

It was so good to see them all - definitely an end of a chapter for this crew!

School Shopping?

We have been trying to conquer this puzzle that a friend loaned us - He-Man and She-Ra are helping out too - it's 3000 piece and we had to bring out an extra card table for it to fit... this one might just do me in!  Ha!

We've been doing some school shopping - mostly through Walmart pickup which is so different in itself  - we usually love meandering the store, gathering up what they need... but today we headed out early to miss the crowds and try and find some new clothes.  What an odd experience - no dressing rooms open, lots and lots of clearance clothes - probably leftover from the stores being closed for so long... finding things was hard ... just strange.... but they managed to get a few things...

and for the couple things that didn't fit - well, I'll return them and we ordered the correct sizing online... a whole new world for sure! 

Girl Scouts

 Today was such a fun Girl Scout day - it's been so long since we have had in person meetings.  As we are starting to get ready for school and more in person encounters - we are doing so carefully and with precautions...

 We kicked off our 9th FLL season today - hard to believe! 

 Throughout the day we would log in for the annual conference for our Girl Scout council - we were going to go this year since all 3 girls received awards - but they held a virtual conference instead. 

 The first one was the adult recognitions - I was honored to get  the Volunteer of Excellence award from Girl Scouts-Diamond 2020 for the whole council...

Then onto our first in person Girl Scout event since March!!  We had a fluid art class that we rescheduled and rescheduled again - and finally got to have it... with masks on, the girls created such cool projects!!

 During the class, was the Gold Award, graduating seniors and silver award winners.  I brought the ipad so we could watch while the girls made their projects

Emily had awesome packet of yard signs and letters/certificates from all sorts of organizations congratulating her on her Gold Award- from the governor to the mayor... US Armed Services to National Park Service and NASA....

On top of the awards the girls received, Morgan and I both received volunteer awards and pins..
