Happy Halloween!  After our Halloween dinner of candy corn pizza, mummy hotdogs and mandarin orange jack o lanterns... we got ready to head out...
Gwen Stacy (girl Spiderman) and Mal had to trick or treat at our house first...

So off we went... bundled up and all...
We had some others join us....

and met some friends along the way...

 But boy was it cold!!

Baton, KD, Orchestra, Baking

What a crazy wacky weather week!!  And now people are reporting it's snowing.. haven't seen it here yet but it has been a cold, rainy, icky day... but that didn't stop us from getting to all our Halloween festivities...
I'm trying to track down a paper but it looks like Nora, Alex and Katie were in the newspaper for their skull paintings...

After school, first up was baton team practice - it's costume week at dance so the girls were able to wear their costumes...

Then from there to the Kappa Delta House for their annual Halloween party for Girl Scouts...

From there we went to the high school for the Orchestras Monster Mash... Nora wasn't playing but the 7th grade orchestra was in charge of handing out candy at the end to the kids that were there.
Nora turned in her painted pumpkin for the pumpkin contest...
and here she is.. anxiously waiting to hand out candy..

 It was  a great show...

Here are  some video clips... Nora will be participating in this concert next year

Nora was so excited to see Rose come down the line to give her candy...

After that, back home to finish baking - pumpkin bread for all the teachers for Halloween!
Weather update.. yep, it's snowing..

Rose finished sewing her cross body bag at Paper and Thread with Paula...
And she got to go on a field trip today with her after school club... they went to Cobblestone Farms and learned about sustainable farming.. here are some pictures that they posted from the trip.

More Pumpkins

Today the weather was so much better for our troop trip to the pumpkin patch...

Not a cloud in the sky!!!

We had a great time playing, saying hi to donkeys, getting lost in the corn maze, hayride, mule train, and of course getting pumpkins...

Our porch is all decorated now...
And saw this on the news today - Happy Navy Day Dad!

Across the Pond

Nora spent 3 weeks in England on a study abroad program - Medieval England... she had the best time.  I'll gather up more of her pictur...
