Finding Normal

Getting back in the groove after a great week off has been a little crazy... Morgan finally made it to Boston yesterday - another early start as he left around 4am... 

This morning Emily was out before all of us - she had a meeting at Holt to discuss her gold award project for Girl Scouts - I heard it went great!  

The kitties have been crazy!!  But thankfully the tree still stands... although we have had to bring out the water bottle for when they get a little too crazy under the tree.. 

 Nora had some homework tonight..

 and Rose was practicing her piano - she has one song completely memorized! 

 and she brought home a "thankful tree" today - love the things she put...

 "Jesus and God"

 "My family"

 love this one ... "oxygen and food"

 and this one - "being alive"...

 "my friends"...

  and "me... yay!"

 Nora's turn at the piano - and she had a little helper...

Day 1 Back

 It was an early start this morning - Mom, Dad and Morgan headed out at 4am - take a look at the temp and wind chill - brrr!!! 

They got to the airport ok - but what a day!  Mom and Dad got home ok - but Morgan had quite an adventure - his flights kept getting delayed and then cancelled...  and finally around 2 he headed home and he's gonna try again tomorrow.  

 In the meantime - we're all missing our visitors - even the pups...

 but it was back to the grind after Thanksgiving break...

 Rose perked up though after school when we headed to PetSmart... last night was quite upsetting for her, not just because Mom and Dad and Morgan were leaving - but she went into her room to find her fish tank pulled off her dresser and no fish to be found... the floor all wet and it was then that we realized why Margie was found all wet earlier in the day. 

 So here are her new fishy friends..

But we wrapped up the evening with an unexpected dinner with Morgan...

 Nora made the cutest snow kitty at Art class...

and a little Christmas fun before bedtime...

Tree Trimming Grinch

 After church we headed out for brunch... boy did it get cold!!!

 Nora and Rose love to find pictures in their hot chocolate - what do you see?

 Then we decorated the tree - our crooked tree - ha! 

 Love finding all the memories that go up on it!

 A final domino match...

 Then off to see the Grinch...

 It was a really cute movie -

 and wrapped up the night with goodbyes as Morgan heads to Boston and Mom and Dad head home very early in the morning!
